TRIPLE DIGIT Amberjack!! | Florida Fishing Offshore

Amberjack are NOTORIOUS for being reef dwelling, line dragging fish with a knack for cutting your line at a moment’s notice. That’s how they got their nickname as ‘reef donkeys’. A couple of weeks ago we went offshore with Capt. Scott Nguyen in search of some monsters and luckily we found what we were looking for! You’ll see several of the amberjack we caught in this quick video plus the one that was easily 100lbs or more! I could barely lift him up‼️

When we went fishing with with Capt. Scott of TailHunter charters, amberjack were out of season so we safely released them all after a couple of pictures. This adventure was an experiment to test the force of these MASSIVE amberjack and gauge if it’s possible for me to go after one on a kayak. Happy to announce we are making it happen later this week! So excited to go kayak fishing again!
