WORLD RECORD Cubera Snapper | Kayak Fishing Panama

A Cubera Snapper with the World Record for length, just one of the many incredible moments of our Panama fishing trip! I could barely get this MASSIVE fish into the kayak for a good picture and its teeth were gnarly. You’ll see them in the video! 😬

Clocking in at 51″ this would have qualified for an IGFA World Record if we had their certified measuring tape. I’m not salty about it, we know what we caught out there. The best part about it was that we were able to safely release him and now maybe one day, another angler can catch him when he’s 61″… ha! Records are meant to be broken ya know. We didn’t go out looking to set any records, but just to catch some awesome fish and experience a new fishing arena. Needless to say, Panama checked off all of our expectations for world class fishing.
